Countertenor, Contralto or low mezzo required for Platinum Consort recording project and beyond THIS VACANCY HAS BEEN FILLED
Platinum Consort requires an excellent countertenor, contralto or low mezzo to join the seven other singers in the group for a recording project in March 2012. It is hoped the successful candidate will become a regular member of the Consort.
Overview: Platinum Consort was founded in 2005 at the University of Cambridge by Chief Executive and Artistic Director, Scott Inglis-Kidger. This is a very exciting time to join us. Our debut commercial album will be released later this year and major fundraising initiatives are in place to ensure a busy 2012-2013 season. Platinum is renowned for bringing vibrancy to early music, breathing life into newly commissioned works, and producing a choral sound of the highest order.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
Experience in professional consort singing
Confidence in a one-per-part setting
A passion for early music
They must also be able to commit to all of the following rehearsal and recording dates:
Rehearsals in Central London: 12th March 1500-1800 14th March 1000-1700 19th March 1000-1300
Recording Sessions: 22nd March 1000-1700 23rd March 1000-1700
Project Fee: £700
