‘Bach’s music is a world of its own — once entered, we never leave.’ – Gustav Leonhardt
Since launching in 2019, Bach Club has become one of our most enduring and energising projects: an ongoing exploration of the choruses and chorales from J S Bach’s extraordinary cantata output. Each workshop opens a different window into Bach’s craft — his astonishing contrapuntal imagination, expressive word-painting, and that unmistakable harmonic glow. Whether you’re a long-standing Bach Club singer or joining us for the first time, these sessions offer a rare chance to immerse yourself in this repertoire in a focused, supportive setting. With excellent preparation (or strong sight-reading), you’ll experience the thrill of singing music that is architecturally precise yet emotionally resonant. We have made remarkable progress so far, and 2026 promises even more riches. Come and be part of our continuing exploration of Bach’s genius.
