We are asking you to think about making a donation to our charity, Platinum Choral Foundation, which supports the work of the Platinum Consort.
By supporting Platinum, you will have a chance to make a real difference to a musical endeavour that we believe will repay your contribution many times over – not financially but in the pleasure both of hearing their music and in seeing them develop to what we believe will be the highest level. As a supporter, you will have a chance to watch the development at first hand and share in the pleasure and pride that we believe it will bring when you join the Platinum 'family'. Thanks to Platinum's dynamic founder and director, Scott Inglis-Kidger, and with the support of the Foundation, the consort has made its first recording (with a second in the pipeline) and presented very successful concerts at Kings Place and St Giles, Cripplegate. In addition to a specialism in early polyphony, the music of Composer in Residence, Richard Bates, forms an important part of the consort's recording and concert activities. As well as performing and recording, Platinum delivers workshops in primary schools, introducing young people to a new genre of music and aiming to inspire a life-long love of singing. Many of the children at these workshops remark that, having never listened to choral music, they would now choose to listen to it at home as a result of listening to and participating in live performances by Platinum Consort. If you are interested in supporting our endeavours, we would be glad to hear from you. Please contact us at foundation@platinumconsort.com. Claire Jaggers Chairman of the Board of Trustees |
16th Century Music is Cool!

Platinum Consort inspiring children at a Primary School in Wimbledon
We had a terrific time giving a workshop to an enthusiastic and talented bunch of 8-year-olds recently at a primary school in Wimbledon. Platinum's Tim, Rose and Sarah taught the children some a cappella Tudor music, as well as an exciting piece with percussion and 2-part harmony. They sang so beautifully; we are very proud of their achievements! We also discovered they had enjoyed our debut album and wanted our autographs.
